Nikon battery recall

Dammit, there's a potential issue with Nikon batteries as used in the D100, D70 & D50.

Although they're getting on top of this early (there's only been four faults found worldwide!) Nikon are not handling this well. They are requesting that, if you have a defective battery, send it in and wait a couple of weeks for them to send a replacement. So what do you do with your DSLR without a battery?? Just send new batteries out Nikon.
