Nikon D200

PMA 2006 is currently running in Florida and it's traditionally when many camera-related product announcements occur. Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Sony, Panasonic - everyone has made interesting announcements (check out the excellent coverage at dpreview) but I want to draw your attention to one in particular (that was, technically, announced just before the event). The camera I want.

The Nikon D200.

Freakin' awesome. Great features, good price. They're flying off the shelves here in the US and I want one. I may settle for a D70 (still an excellent camera!) since the D200's announcement may drive the price down but I will still lust after the D200.

Canon did announce the 30D but it was generally received as a disappointment, not really improving greatly on the 20D that it replaces. Having said that, the 20D (and 5D) is a terrific camera to begin with so Canon fans shouldn't harsh on too much.

Anyways, I want a D200 and if anyone wants to give me one I'll love 'em a long time (oh, and if they throw in one of the new 105mm AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor's I'd be beside myself).
